What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Arunly is a conversation design studio based in Bengaluru, India, building voice and chat agents for the people software leaves behind. When you contact us or try one of our demos, Arunly is the data controller: we decide what is collected and why. You can reach us any time at hello@arunly.com.

What we collect. If you write to us or use a demo agent, we collect your name, your phone number or email address, and the content of the conversation you have with us or with the agent. Nothing else is gathered in the background.

Why we collect it. Two reasons only: to reply to what you asked, and to run the agent properly on behalf of the organisation you are speaking with: taking a booking, passing on a message, or handing you to a person.

When we run an agent for a client. That client is the data controller and Arunly is a processor acting on its instructions. We handle the conversation data on the client's behalf and for its purposes; we do not use it for our own.

How long we keep it. Conversation data is kept only as long as it is needed to provide the service, or for the period the client requires. After that it is deleted.

Who else sees it. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. It is shared only with the organisation the conversation is with, and with the infrastructure providers we need to deliver the service: messaging, telephony and hosting.

Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023. You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to erase it. You can also raise a grievance if you think we have handled your data badly. Write to hello@arunly.com and we will respond. If the data was collected by an agent operating for a client, we will pass your request to that client and help them act on it.

Changes. If this policy changes, the date below changes with it.
